[color=#bb0000]This is exactly what I had to think about when STEEL KITTENS a female wrestling video production company asked me to work with them.
Suggestion to ALL girls!!!! Make sure to get ALL FACTS before saying yes, and NEVER "Assume" anything!!!!!
I was offered to do two seperate shoots, one in vegas and one in Los Angeles. I was offered $200 for each 2O minute match in Vegas, ( I was asked to do 4 ) I responded by saying NO because it wasn't worth going all the way to Vegas for it. So I agreed to do the Los Angeles shoot since this is the city I live in.
I assumed everything would stay the same, however, I later come to find out that the pay is much different for Los Angeles. Instead of $200 per 20 minute match, it's now $125!!!Why such a difference??? Thankfully, I caught this before the schedule date of shooting.
I asked Steel Kittens WHY, and she said because the matches in Vegas were twice as long.. and more competitive. How can a 20 minute match just turn to a 40 minute match like that??? So, I'm confused already??????? Also, she states they were more competitive... maybe so, but the definition of "competitive" can be different for many.. The most "competitive" girl there could be a piece of cake for me to take on, it's very subjective. Anyhow.. Both were BULLSHIT EXCUSES in my BOOK. And $125 is what I get paid for a 10 minute match . Do I just suck it up and do the shoot anyways??? Or do I remind myself of the quote I wrote above. ...
I responded to Steel Kitten's email by replying.. " I pass " ... and I don't have any regrets either.
Lastly, I was hired by another company who I just finished up working with today. The topic of "Steel Kittens" came up, and interestingly enough a few girls had the same complaint!!! We all felt like Steel Kittens was trying to take advantage. It's too bad. Word of Mouth can make or break you, and I think it's deserved to be noted of the "GOOD and the BAD" that's out there... BAD KITTY!! STEAL KITTENS!!!
